Submit presentation

We invite all experts, who would like to deliver a talk at the upcoming 2013 edition of JDD to submit their presentations!

At this year’s edition of JDD Conference we are planning 4 different forms of presentations:

  • standard presentations – lasting 40-50 minutes – presentations known from both previous editions, as well as many other conferences. The presentation lasts around 40-50 minutes and might be used to discuss a certain topic possibly with a short demo.
    Examples here:
  • Tutorials – extended presentation lasting 2 hours. Tutorial form is fit exactly into the conference schedule, as speaker receives two time slots on the schedule for his presentation. This allows to cover a wider range of material with a given topic or to perform a longer live-coding (up to 120 minutes). There is also a possibility of organizing additional labs during that time slot.
    Examples here:
  • Free workshops – on the third day of the conference we are going to deploy slots for short 4 hour workshops or trainings, lasting up to 4 hours. Those workshops will be available for JDD participants with additional preregistration followed by onsite registration.
    Examples here:
  • Full Trainings – anyone interested in running a full-paid trainings after the JDD Conference are welcome to contact the organizers. There is a possibility of using conference venue for 1-2 days after the conference. Additional information on pricings and schedule can be after contacting the organizers.
  • Important note:
You can submit proposals for theme packages, such as: lecture + tutorial or lecture + 4h workshop with a given topic so that to cover a wider range of topics!

To submit presentation you should send an e-mail to or slawomir.jabs{@} with following information:

    • Name and surname
    • The title of the talk you want to present, its short description (max. 200 words)
    • your short bio (work experience, few words about the projects you’ve been involved with, interests, company you work for, where do you live etc.)
    • A photo of yourself
    • [If your proposal is accpeted, this information will appear on the conference web page.]
    • You can send us your proposal by August, 20th 2013.

Don’t wait until the last moment, send your topic now! We will not wait for the deadline, but publish the information about new talks as soon as the Conference Committee gets the lecture that they find extremely interesting. For those, whose topic will be accepted by the Committee, becoming a speaker is absolutely free of charge.
